Call for application: Design Thinking – Training of Trainers


GIZ’s Labour Market Access Programme (LMAP) is announcing the first Training of Trainers (ToT) in the field of design thinking. Ten candidates from Egypt will receive a 10-day design thinking facilitation training in Germany and also will have the opportunity to learn about inspiring success stories of what can be achieved with design thinking.

LMAP aims at improving the employment situation of youth in Egypt. It focuses on the blue collar segment of the labour market, in particular on matchmaking and job placement as well as improving the work environment in SMEs.

The field of activity ‘Social Innovation’ focuses on implementing innovative ideas in the fields of placement and job quality by using open innovation and design thinking. The group who will participate in the programme will take a part in implementing social innovation workshops in Egypt and transferring the methodology to the local context!

If you want to become a certified design thinking facilitator, then APPLY HERE ( for a fully funded 10-day design thinking training from 4 – 14th October in Germany! We are looking for active, committed and innovative candidates to enter the selection process. Selected candidates will receive a professional training by one of the top training institutes in design thinking in Germany. THE DEADLINE FOR THE APPLICATION IS TUESDAY, 16 August 2016 (12 p.m.).

It is envisaged that the trained design thinking facilitators will help in moderating in the coming innovation cycles, adapt the training content to the Egyptian context and support in giving the training in Arabic mainly to find innovative solutions for the challenges that blue collar workers are facing in the labour market.

The training will be conducted in English.

* Each participant will commit to support the innovation cycles for at least 15 work days in the period after the training in 2016/17 and will take an active part in the social innovation platform.

** Out of the applications we will invite the shortlisted candidates for interviews on Saturday, 20 August in order to identify 10 successful applicants.

*** The costs for the training, travel and accommodation will be covered by GIZ
